GTUK Committees
Game Therapy UK has several important, and diverse, committees to help support the trustees in providing governance to the charity. All the committee members are unpaid and have declared no conflicts of interest with the charity.
The GTUK committee members bring professional experience, and/ or lived experience to each of our areas of specialist interest.
The committees are required to meet a minimum of quarterly and report to the trustees (January/ April/ July/ Oct), however most committees choose to meet more frequently.
OPERATIONAL COMMITTEES
There are currently 5 Operational Committees (of 7-9 volunteers), each with their own chairperson, secretary, shadow treasurer, volunteer rep and general committee members. They meet at least quarterly and provide minuted meetings to the trustees. They also have a representative attend the Trustees Quarterly meetings as an observer.
The current committees are:
Veterans Committee (or TAG) (serving or veteran military volunteers) who manage the military gaming projects (under the name of Tactical Advance to Game) under the governance of the trustees.
Schools Libraries and Clubs Committee (or SLAC) who manage the schools, libraries and clubs projects under the governance of the trustees.
Autistic RPG Committee (ARP) who manage the autistic adult and Young people projects under the governance of the trustees.
Inclusion Committee who manage the projects for people experiencing homelessness under the governance of the trustees.
Academic Faculty who manage the British Academic Conference in Therapeutic Gaming under the governance of the trustees.
Each committee also has a extensive Working Group of specialists in the field, and experts through lived experience who provide advice and guidance.
