INTERESTED IN BEING A TRUSTEE?

If you are interested in a trustees position please read the information below and drop us an email with a covering letter and CV.

It is important that our board remains inclusive and fully reflects the race, ethnicity, gender, age, abilities, cultures, and backgrounds of our community of gamers and volunteers.

Game Therapy UK is in its 3rd year and is going through an exciting period of managed growth.

What will you be doing?

Game Therapy UK is looking to recruit new trustees with experience and understanding of project management.

This is an exciting time to join the board to provide governance and leadership for the charity during our 5-year plan for transformative growth.

Game Therapy UK has three charitable aims. These are:

1. To deliver evidence-based, therapeutic gaming projects for public good:

The charity currently has projects for:

  • young people and adults experiencing homelessness,

  • military veterans and serving personnel,

  • autistic young people and adults,

  • children with special educational needs.

We will continue to expand these projects across the UK over the next 5 years.

Next year we will also be starting:

  • forensic projects in prisons and the community,

  • and also developing projects for older populations.

In addition to expanding our range of projects we are also expanding our geographical area.

Currently our projects are in 3 regions:

  • London,

  • Scotland,

  • North (North East, North West & Yorkshire).

We have plans to expand into the other Regions in 2026 and beyond.

2. To promote academic research into therapeutic gaming.

Later this year we will be holding our first annual academic conference in therapeutic gaming in London. We are also in partnership with several universities using our projects for high quality, robust research projects.

3. To promote evidence-based training.

We currently provide in-house training to our volunteers and we will continue to expand our curriculum of training.
